Chairman, Bob Chuah
Bob Chua is Founder and CEO of Pulse Group Plc, one of the industry’s fastest growing Digital Research Agencies, having grown from start-up to IPO (on London’s PLUS market) in a mere 33 months. Prior to Pulse, he lived and worked in London, Sydney, Hong Kong, and spent a significant amount of time in the US. His global outlook and management style has seen him achieve significant roles within some of the largest Fortune 500 organisations, as well as serving as a consultant to some of the world’s leading companies.
Executive Director, Christy Lee
Christy Lee Su Wei gets a thrill from growing successful companies and helping both entrepreneurs and investors achieve the same. She is currently the Executive Director of Virtuous Investment Circle (VIC), serving to drive its mission of creating a vibrant ecosystem for angel investing in Malaysia. With a background in venture capital, journalism and technology, Christy offers a unique combination of investment experience, industry knowledge and media skills.
Advisor, Johnathan Lee
Johnathan Lee joined Cradle Fund in 2008 and currently manages the Ideas Bank unit, which, oversees and assists the commercialisation of its funded recipients. Johnathan comes from a diverse background with over 10 years in commercial and business development experience ranging from investment, to health education, to technology start-ups. He holds a Masters in Business in Entrepreneurship (Distinction) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management and Marketing from the Otago School of Business.
Treasurer, Chris Leong
Chris has diverse knowledge in the business and technology world, partly due to being an engineer by training specialising in IC design and programming. He is currently completing his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with Strathclyde University, ranked amongst the Top 50 MBA programmes globally. Chris found his passion in Software Engineering in 2003 and has played many roles in the IT industry since then. He started his career as a system analyst in 2004 and then moved on to work in a project management role for a foreign Oil & Gas MNC. Four years later, he moved on to become a Broad Audience Marketing Executive for Microsoft Malaysia.
Committee Member, Matt Chandran
Fondly known as Matt, he is an entrepreneur with interest in Management, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. He is also the Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of INFOVALLEY Group of Companies with subsidiaries in Kuala Lumpur and Bangalore. These companies specialise in life sciences domain consulting, bioinformatics services, medical informatics and insilico design of molecular diagnostics kits. In the managerial domain, Matt serves as the Managing Consultant of INFOVALLEY Business Management Sdn. Bhd., a business management consultancy company.
Committee Member, Tan Swee Yeong
An angel investor at heart, Swee Yeong holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from the University of Sydney in Australia. During the resurgence of the internet boom, he founded UnrealMind Interactive Berhad in 2001, one of Malaysia’s fastest growing mobile content companies with a personal investment of RM300,000. In 2002, UnrealMind subsequently received venture capital funding of RM500,000 from MAVCAP, Malaysia’s largest ICT Venture Capital organisation.
Committee Member, Evan Loo
Evan was first appointed as Executive Director of Fututech Berhad and subsequently appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Fututech is a Bursa listed company that engages in investment activities and provision of management services. Fututech’s subsidiaries are currently involved in the manufacturing and supply of light fittings, premium kitchen cabinetry and construction management.
